Warren Wahweotten Obituary
He was employed by Haskell Indian Junior College in Lawrence for 26 yrs; he retired in 1993. He then was employed by Fire Keepers Elder Center, Prairie Band Potawatomi Reservation for 23 yrs and a member of the tribal drum religion.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Tamara and grandson, Timothy. Other survivors include a brother, Vernon Wahweotten, of Holton, sister, Linda Wahweotten, of Mayetta, two sons, Michael Wahweotten, of Lawrence & Warren "Junior" Wahweotten (Gina) of Mayetta; 9 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
Indian drum services will be held Fri eve at the Danceground Bldg on Prairie Band Potawatomi Reservation. Burial will be Sat in Shipshee Cemetery. Warren will lie in state Thurs at Chapel Oaks Funeral Home, Hoyt; family & friends to meet 6:30-8 pm. Condolences to chapeloaksfuneralhome. com
