Virginia Fieger Obituary
Virginia Ellen (Peterson) Fieger, 92, of Topeka, passed away Monday, November 17, 2014.
She was born December 2, 1921, in Topeka, Kansas, the daughter of Raymond and Bertha (Seal) Peterson. She was a graduate of Topeka High School.
Virginia married Albert Fieger on February 15, 1942. He preceded her in death on June 17, 1996.
She enjoyed bowling, fishing, bingo and spending time with her family and was a member of Topeka Women's "500" Bowling Club & the United States Bowling Congress. Virginia worked in the Bakery Department at Dillon's and was a School Crossing Guard for USD 501 in Topeka.
Survivors include a son, Robert D. Fieger & daughter-in-law Maggie Fieger of Lawrence, KS; grandchildren, Erin Schraad & husband Craig & Chris Fieger of Lawrence, KS & Kim Eubank & husband Chris of Fort Bragg, NC; great-grandchildren, Tyler Davis of Topeka, KS, Elizabeth Schraad, Tim Schraad, Michael Schraad & Carson Schraad of Lawrence, KS & Emerson Eubank of Fort Bragg, NC; and great-great grandchild, Jett Abel of Lawrence, KS.
Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 26, 2014, at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Avenue, Topeka, where the family will receive guests one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Hospice, 3715 SW 29th Street, Suite 100, Topeka, Kansas 66614.
