Virginia Boyd Obituary
Ginny worked at Kansas Color Press for many years; and worked for the University of Kansas as a custodial supervisor for 18 years retiring in 2002. She was a member of the First Christian Church. Ginny loved traveling with her husband Dean and she was a fanatical KU Jayhawk Basketball Fan. Ginny loved garage sales and clipping coupons! She always let her grandchildren know that education was highly important and something no-one could ever take away. She was very accepting to everyone and welcomed them into her family with an open heart. She became everyone's Mom. Her son remembers doing everything together both in work and play. Virginia chose to be a mother - her daughter is most grateful to have been chosen. She was the glue that held everyone together. Virginia "Ginny" Boyd is survived by her husband, Daryl Dean Boyd; son, Alan Bignal and wife Linda of Lawrence, KS; daughter Traci Angeles and husband Kent of Lyndon, KS; son Gary Boyd and wife Kathy of Baldwin City, KS; two brothers, Larry McClelland of Leavenworth, KS and Jim McClelland of Ottawa, KS and five grandchildren, Sarah, Andrew, Gentry, Kyle and Jacob. Family suggests contributions to Grace Hospice or the Baldwin Health Care & Rehab Center in lieu of flowers.

Dean and family,
So sorry I was unable to make it to the memorial gathering but am so grateful I was able to spend the past week with Ginny. I will always be thankful for her friendship and will cherish the memories.

Sorry for your loss, our thoughts are with you and your family, Didn't see Aunt Virgina much in my older years. But do remember all the times when I was younger and dad took us over there. The memories are great.

Dear Dean and family, I am so sorry for the loss of Virginia. She was an awesome woman and friend. I have many many memories of all of us vacationing, playing cards or going for Taco Tuesdays.

I'm so sorry for you & the family's loss, Dean. Ginny was a long-time friend and I remember the fun we had playing cards with you two & my folks. I miss that and will miss Ginny. She will be playing cards again with mom & dad & they will welcome her.
