Timothy Kilburn Obituary
Born December 19, 1960 and passed away peacefully October 28, 2013 at the age of 52. Tim is survived by his father Donald Kilburn, Lawrence, his mother Mary Kilburn, Lecompton, his brothers Randy and Mark Kilburn, and a sister Debra Kilburn Vandyke, and his children Tamara Frye, Phillip Morales and Nicki Houk. Tim was blessed with several granddaughters, a grandson, several nieces and nephews, as well, as a great niece. He will be missed dearly by all his family and friends.
He served proudly in the United States Army as a transport operator for 2 years. Tim owned his own concrete construction company for several years and did a lot of work with the VA in Topeka, Ks.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2013 from 5-8 pm at the United Methodist Church in Big Springs, Ks. Tim will be laid to rest at Ft. Leavenworth National Cemetery on Friday November 8, 2013. The precession will escorted by the Patriot Guard and will leave from the United Methodist Church in Big Springs at approximately 10:45 am to be at the gate of Ft. Leavenworth at 1:15 pm. The family requests all who plan on attending the service to be in the precession.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations may be made to Wounded Warriors, Homeless Vets, Bikers for Babies or Bikers Against Child Abuse sent in care of Chapel Oaks Cremation and Funeral Services 627 Monterey Lawrence, Ks 66049.

To the family of tim Kilburn, We have been friends since bullene st. Our families(Ida Holden) lived almost next to each other. We remained friends and lived next door to each other on perry kitzsmillers property. Remember the kids as little ones.I am shocked to here of his death. You are all in my prayers. Keeping your family in my thoughts and prayers as you go through this difficult loss. We lived just down the street from the Kilburns on Bullene when we were kids. We played in their yard and walked to school together every day. Tim was my first childhood crush. I got my first kiss from him in their treehouse when we were about 6 years old. I've known Tim for a number of years and he was always so thoughtful and enjoyable although he was in such pain.
