Timothy Easum Obituary

In the mid 80s, Toad, who we often called "Shorty" followed a Country/Oldies Rock band I played in. Whenever we played the old "Shiloh" dance hall or anywhere in Lawrence, he would be waiting there when we arrived for setup, ready to help us unload a van full of equipment. He never asked for a dime. I played guitar through a Fender Twin amp that weighed 90 lbs. (I still have it) Every time he would grab it and carry it in he´d ask me "Nelson, you still that damn heavy thing?" A true friend to all. I´ll miss his weekly FB messages. RIP Toad

Beep..beep.. Toad always honked and shared a wave during my patrols in the downtown area. A fist bump, a little LEO banter, and off he would go with his next delivery. Toad and I kept in touch even after my retirement, speaking to each other at least twice a week. Every time I hear a moped horn, I immediately think of Toad and smile. RIP Tim...gone but never forgotten.

The one guy with a smile every day, along with a little humor , myself the community of Lawrence and all his relatives will miss. God bless Toad

I first met Tim, then called Froggie, back in the 90's in a Karaoke bar on 6th street in Lawrence. He would be up front dancing and having a blast. I'm sure gonna miss seeing him around.

Hugs and condolences to the entire Easum family. Tim just texted on April 11th just to see how I was doing because he was aware of some of my health issues. He always looked in on me from time to time. I've known him since grade school and am certainly going to miss his smiling, genuine face. Lawrence has lost an icon but Heaven has gained an angel.
