I just looked up Tom Stidham to hold up as an example of one of those people who managed to be friends with everyone he ever met. Never forgot a name, even a lowly, non-music major euphonium player such as myself (KU '93). Rest assured that a little bit of his spirit lives on in every life he touched.

Uncle Tom was a wonderful and fun-loving man. I remember my dad, Charlie Stidham, commenting about his Brother Tom. Uncle Tom and Aunt Linda accompanied my folks (Charlie and Dee Dee) to an away Florida Gators football game one Fall. The Gators didn't fair too well that game, but all of those Lake Placid folks on the bus ride from the stadium back to the hotel said that the "Tom Stidham Show" was so much more enjoyable than watching the poor old Gators play!
Aunt Linda, Mark, Scott, and Marci, we'll all miss him. But, I can guarantee you one thing, Uncle Tom and Dad are sure telling the old stories with joy and happiness at this very moment!

"You got a Marci around here?" said with a smile from ear to ear was always how he picked up his little girl from pre-school. And she all but jumped into his open loving arms. He had an obvious love for not only family, but life itself. Condolences.....
