Thomas Shutt Obituary

Thomas Michael Shutt, 60, of Eudora, Kansas, went to be with the Lord March 28, 2018 in his home in Eudora.

He was born September 2, 1957 in Lawrence, Kansas. The son of Felix & Marion Shutt of Lawrence.

Tom was a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather. He loved spending time with his family, he was a huge fan of the Kansas Jayhawks. He was also an avid Kansas City Royals and Chiefs fan. His love for farming was like no other love imaginable.

Tom was loved and is remembered by his mother and father. His wife, Cherryl Shutt of the home; son, Travis and Kori Gary of Carthage, MO; daughter, Holly and husband, Mark Trunk of Okemah, OK; son, Gabe and wife, Lisa Gary of Carthage, MO, son, Tommy Shutt and Jody of Eudora, son, Mark Shutt and Heather of Eudora; daughter, Sarah Shutt of Bixby, OK and son, Kyle Shutt of Bixby, OK; sisters, Linda and husband, Randy Coleman of Eudora and sister, Cindy Shutt-Brown of Lawrence; 15 grandchildren and one on the way; and four great grandchildren. Preceding him in death was his grandson, Cainan Shutt.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary – Eudora Chapel in Eudora, KS. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary – Eudora Chapel with graveside services to follow at Eudora Cemetery.

The family is asking in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Cainan T. Shutt Memorial Fund and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary. The family would like to thank everyone for their kind words during this difficult time.
