Thomas Bell Obituary

Memorial services for Thomas John Bell, 72, Lawrence, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 21, 2024, at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence, with a visitation starting at 1:00 p.m. Thomas passed away on Monday, May 15, 2024, at his home.

Thomas was born on February 28, 1952, in Windber, Pennsylvania, the son of Joseph and Dorothy (Metz) Bell.

Thomas was a 3rd Class Petty Officer ADJ third US Navy.

He ended his career as an IT Specialist for the University of Kansas.

Survivors include his siblings, Kathy (Johnny) Waggoner, Marji Breault, Robert (Robin) Bell, Debbie (John) Wingebach, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, William Bell, and Patrick Bell.

Memorial contributions may be made in Thomas' name to The American Cancer Society and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary, 120 W. 13th Street, Lawrence, KS 66044.
