Terri Flowers Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.

Terri Diane Flowers, 68, passed away peacefully at home on 1/18/2025.

Funeral service will be 12 pm Saturday January 25, 2025 at the West Haven Baptist Church in Tonganoxie. The family will receive friends for visitation 1 hour prior to the service. The burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Tonganoxie.

Born on 1/14/1957 in Tonganoxie, KS she was the daughter of Marguerite Brown and Bobby Vernon Lindsey.

Terri had a heart of gold and dedicated her life to helping and taking care of others. She worked as a Nurses Aide & Medication Aide at several different nursing homes throughout her life. She also worked as an in-home caregiver and childcare provider.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed taking cruises, traveling, reading and cooking for family and friends. She loved all things purple, camouflage, animal print and Prince. She enjoyed singing and dancing and being the life of the party. Her radiant smile lit up any room she walked into.

She was the type of person who never met a stranger. She would strike up a conversation with everyone and was kind and loving to all. If you weren't family by blood you became family by love! And her family by love would affectionately adopt her as their Aunt Terri, Nana or Mom.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Samuel Winston Hooper. Daughter Denise Lohman, ex husband Cortez Flowers, grandparents, two nephews and two nieces and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.

She is survived by her children; Terrance Brown, Tenisha Flowers, Stanley Williams Jr. Latrice Flowers and Dennis Lohman Jr. Her grandchildren; Amara Brown, Kaylee Brown, Keion Brown, Jalen Flowers, Jamiera Flowers, Jaleigha Flowers, Jahmal Flowers, Jahmel Flowers, Montez Sanchez, Ava Mora, Amaya Mora, Jamareon Davis, Omari Davis, Arman Davis and 7 great grand children. She also leaves behind sisters Gloria Jean Jackson, Mildred Elizabeth January and brother Darrell Eugene Brown, husband Dennis Eugene Lohman Sr., Aunt Mayola Reeves and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She will always be lovingly remembered by her children as the mother who was always there when we needed her, offering support, wisdom and love. Although she is gone she will forever be in our hearts!

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations to the Quisenberry Funeral Home 604 E. 4th Street Tonganoxie, KS 66086 to help with funeral expenses.
