Dear Kala and family,
It is so sad for us to say goodbye to Suresh. I shall always remember his gentle urging to keep moving on our morning walks along the levee. I value our times together and loved his insights and perspectives.
He enjoyed travel and research and coming home to family and friends. After one trip to India in 1997 he wrote a letter to me and included this ". . . the distant past had a place in my life's journey only as a part of the accumulated whole, and that the present was an important starting point. So .. as the Chinese say .. when you have made a circle in your life, it is time to move on. I learned a profound truth. "
Suresh has completed his circle and moved on.

Hershini's phone call, telling us her father had died, caught us by great surprise, as you can imagine. Suresh was always such a health conscious person. He was a fine, peace loving human being and scholar, and he will be missed by many.

Bhai, you will be sorely missed by Jugoo Govind Nichha family with whom you shared fond memories in your youthful days in Overport, Durban.
I also cherish the moments I spent with you since I became a part of the Bhana family.
