Steven Richardson Obituary

Steven Lane Richardson, MD, sadly passed away on October 3, 2021, surrounded by those who deeply love and cherish him. Steve resided in Sudbury, MA with his wife, Felice Pomeranz. He was 65 years old. He fought a hard and tragic battle against a rare condition called HLH. Steve is preceded in death by his father, Donald Richardson, Ed., his mother, Glenda Richardson (Stutts) and his sister, Sue Alley. Steve was a beloved grandfather to his grandchildren, Claire, Graham and Rose O'Donnell. He was deeply loved and cherished by his daughter, Laine, and son-in-law, Lucas O'Donnell. Steve was a proud fan of the KU Jayhawks! His father was a Professor of Education at KU, and Steve graduated from the KU Medical School. Steve was an insatiable reader, lover of all music, an adventurer who loved to explore cultures, continents and various foods. Of great importance to Steve was ongoing learning. He and his wife spent many hours laughing, enjoying music and supporting one another. Steve retired from Progeny Health as Chief Medical Officer just last fall. Steve would encourage everyone to take hold of their dreams; enjoy each day and tell those in your life that you love them dearly.

Felice,
It was so sad to hear of Steve's passing. He was one of my closest friends at Progeny and I valued his judgement on many topics. The best thing was that Steve always laughed at my jokes, even the bad ones! I'm going to miss him and will continue to send prayers to you and the family. God bless.

Felice and family, you have my heartfelt condolences. We lost Steve too soon. He was such a good friend to all of us in high school and many of my happy memories from that time involved shared activities (Best of Broadway!). I'm glad I got to visit with him at Kitty Giffin's virtual service, another wonderful classmate gone too soon. Please take care and know that we are thinking of you.

I was so saddened to learn of Steve's passing. What a wonderful guy he was--he had us all laughing in high school! It was nice to keep in touch over the years on FB, and, to see how proud he was of his family. My thoughts are with all of you.
