FLORENCE DRESSER Obituary
Age 93, of Zelienople, on Sunday, June 19, 2011. Born January 8, 1918 in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late George and Alma Valentine Simmons; loving mother of Patricia (Phil) Smith of Downingtown, David (Gloria) Dresser of Somerset and Virginia "Ginny" (Jim) Burk of Portersville; dear sister of Alma Wilson of Cabot; cherished grandmother of Karen, Timi, Philip, Kristin, Steffanie and Jesse; great- grandmother of Katelyn, Aaron, Tyler, Levi, Mia, Faith and Quinn. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 63 years, Paul S. Dresser on October 28, 2004. The Dresser family will welcome friends 6-8 p.m. Friday and 10-11 a.m. Saturday at BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 25, at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Allegheny County Memorial Park, McCandless Twp. Memorial donations may be made to Passavant Benevolent Fund/LAS Foundation, 401 S. Main St., Zelienople, PA 16063.

Florence was one of those rare people you were always happy to see. She never complained about anything. Her laugh, smile and delightful spirit were a joy to behold. She was loved by everyone and will be dearly missed. Certainly the choir in heaven is enjoying its new accompanist!

Although Florence & I were friends for only a few years, I consider it an incredible privilege to have loved her and be loved by her. I'll miss her sweet smile and indomitable spirit so much.

Florence and Paul were absolutely delightful people. I knew them through Allegheny Center Alliance Church. Florence was a faithful member and a support to the music ministries. Heaven is a little richer today.
