Dear Tom and family, my heart goes out to you all at this time of deep sorrow. Aunt Shirley was an important part of my life growing up. She never missed the chance to make you feel special and interested in your life. I remember how she would take care of us all when we went to the doctor for all the various aches and pains. Dr. Fitzpatrick was lucky to have a lead nurse like Aunt Shirley. I admired her compassionate way with people from all walks of life. So many beautiful memories that I will hold dear forever.
Although, I think her favorite role in life was that of mother and grandmother. She had so much love to give to others.
Rest in peace Aunt Shirley. It is time to honor a life well lived.
