As soon as I saw Shirley's name in the paper I knew it was Theresa's Mom. I am so sorry for your loss, there is no one who will ever take the place of our mom's in our lives. they hold us together and remind us of the way in which we are to go.

I remember the Mexican Dinners at Christmas that she cooked and delivered to the office. It was a wonderful experience and kindest of efforts and thoughtfulness on her part. We ate like starving street kids.

My heart goes out to you. May you know God's great comfort as you hold on to her memories and the legacy that she has left for you.

Vicki, Shelly, Rex and Theresa I am so sorry to hear about your Mom. I admired her, she was inspiration to me. I loved the fact she was a free spirit in our neighborhood, and didn't care what anyone else thought!

Shirley was so full of energy and enthusiasm for gardening and cooking. A very creative woman, one I looked up to. She taught me so much.
I'm very sorry for the loss of your mother and grandmother.

Our mom was the exact example of a "Pioneer Woman" she gardened, she canned, she put up hay for other horses, she took care of any animal that wondered onto her farm. She tought us kids to take care of each other and others around us. Even though our family will never be the same, we have each other to get through this. I don't know what Ken and I would of done without ours at this time. We love you all so deeply for being a part of Moms' life and ours.

I'm very thankful for the time shared with Shirley as she worked for me as a salad expert for KU Dining Services. Shirley was a creative salad designer.
