Sharon Patterson Obituary
Sharon was born October 16, 1938 in Lawrence, Kansas to Elvie & Walter Howard. She attended Lawrence High School.
In the 70s, she started her own business "Sharon's Poodle Clip," where she groomed poodles & small dogs in Lawrence. Periodically, farmers would trade her a bushel of plums or green beans for a haircut for their dog. She was a talented seamstress & an amazing cook. She created stunning wedding cakes for her family; on her wedding day, she wore her own hand-crafted dress & enjoyed the cake she prepared herself.
She loved her dogs & country music. Most summers were highlighted with a trip to Nashville's Fan Fair.
She is survived by her daughters & their spouses: Salena & Mike Gillam of Lawrence and Lesa Patterson-Kinsey & Ken Kinsey of Prairie Village, her siblings (John, Delores, Glenda) & grandchildren (Kayla, Dani, Forest & Arlo).
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother (Leroy), sisters (Joan & Patty) & granddaughter (Jamie Leigh).
No services at this time. A tree will be planted in her honor. Donations may be made to Lawrence Humane Society 1805 E. 19th St, Lawrence, KS 66046 or the Poodle Club of America Rescue Foundation, Inc.
