Sharon Larsen Obituary

Sharon June Larsen, age 84, was born January 17, 1939, in Larned, Ks. She was preceded in death by her husband Bob Larsen, parents Elwood and Drusilla Cole, six siblings, her son Allen Peck, and great grandson Zachary Carroll.

Sharon was a longtime cosmetologist in the Larned community and owned Lar Shar Beauty Salon for more than 40 years. In her early years, she was a member of the Military Spouse and Family Organization where she provided aid and comfort to military families of deployed spouses. She was a member of the Larned Sacred Heart Church and Sacred Heart Altar Society. Her passion was always family, faith, and community. Sharon married Bob Larsen on Jan 24, 1959, in Little Falls NJ. She lived in Lawrence from about 2015-2021.

Survivors include her children Vesta Hicks, Sonja Carson and Robert J. Larsen (Lori) of Larned, and Lisa Larsen (Denise) of Lawrence, KS. Her siblings Carolyn Arnold (Lonnie) of Great Bend, Ks and Darrell Cole (Vicky) of Gordonville, Tx. Fourteen grandchildren, Eighteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren

Services will be 11am July 22, 2023, at the Larned Sacred Heart Church followed by a Celebration of Sharon's life at the Church Parish Center.
