Shane McDermott Obituary
He was born April 11, 1977, in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, the son of Roy Steven and Kathy Ann Schaulis Odom. He graduated from Lawrence High School and later from the University of Kansas.
Shane co-owned and operated Midwest Estates Property Management and had previously owned Budget Blinds. He enjoyed anything outdoors – hunting, fishing, hiking, motorcycles, canoeing, caving, and ATV's. He could build anything and would help anyone.
He married Dawn M. Pritchard on February 22, 2022, in Lawrence. She survives of the home. Other survivors include two children, Macie and Raegan McDermott, Lenexa; his mother, Kathy Schaulis (Robert Slaughter), Lawrence; two siblings, Billie Chamberlin, Ottawa, and Sonya Palacios (Ramon), Phoenix; and maternal grandmother Donna Stoldt, Topeka.
