Sean Dixon Obituary

Memorial services for Sean Douglas Dixon, 24, will be held at 6:00 p.m. Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Warren McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence. He passed away near his home Tuesday, January 28, 2019 in Lawrence.

Sean was born November 12, 1994 in Lawrence, KS to Kevin and Jane Dixon.

Sean's inner light was apparent to everyone he met. He made many friends both young and old along the way, all of whom he loved with a fierce loyalty. He was a great lover of nature who had a special way with all animals, down to the smallest insects. He pursued high-stakes adventure throughout his life. He loved the mountains of Colorado and the woods of Kansas, where he enjoyed springtime mushroom hunts, camping with family and friends, and fishing. He was an aspiring artist, and a well-known member of the urban art community. Sean will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Survivors include his parents, and sisters Kaitlyn Dixon and Bailey Dixon.

The family will greet friends from 5-6 p.m. prior to the service on Saturday at Warren McElwain Mortuary.

Memorial contributions may be made in Sean's name to Lawrence Humane Society and may be sent in care of Warren McElwain Mortuary.
