Sara Frandle Simpson,76, of Landenberg, PA died on Thursday, September 2, 2021 at Virtua Hospital, Mt. Holly, NJ.
Born in Lawrence, KS on Sept. 16, 1944. She was the daughter of the late Maurice Brown Frandle and Donald Frandle. She attended Perry Grade School and Perry High School. She graduated from the University of Kansas and attended Iona College in NY. She was a member of the KU Alumni Club.
On August 16, 1965, she married Larry Dean Simpson. He survives.
Sara taught Spanish at the high school in Lawrence, KS. As Larry's professional career took them to various locations, Sara taught Spanish in Westchester, NY, Rochester, NY, Plano, TX, St. Louis, MO and most recently at Talley Middle School in Wilmington, DE. At Talley, Sara was well thought of by her students and the faculty. She organized several social gatherings for teachers with whom she taught.
During her retirement, Sara enjoyed her beloved Shelties, as well as reading and a book club, traveling including trips to Spain and also helped her sister care for their Mother. She enjoyed being available for her son. They both were avid Eagles and Flyers fans. Sara also kept track of KU basketball.
Surviving with her husband is their son, Rustin Simpson (wife Chrissy, step-daughter, Carter) of 1304 Stokes Rd, Mt. Laurel, NJ 08054, and her sister, Nancy Frandle Clark (husband, Thomas) of 3012 Sparta Dr. West Lafayette, IN 47906
Also surviving is her brother-in-law, Dr. Dennis Simpson (wife Julie) of Pullman, WA and a brother-in-law, David Eckert of Hugaton, KS and several cousins.
On September13, 2021, viewing will be from 10:00-11:00 AM, at the Bocco Funeral Home,1300 Kings Hwy N. Cherry Hill, NJ 08034. The service from 12 -1:00 pm will be at the First United Methodist Church, 446 Camden Ave., Moorestown, NJ 08057. Internment will immediately follow at Lakeview Memorial Park, 1300 Route 130 N, Cinnaminson, NJ 08077. A reception will be held at Ott's Tavern 3112 Bridgeboro Rd. Delran, NJ 08057
