Dr. Alfie was my attending during my training and one of the most influential people in my life in regards to my own practice of psychiatry. He was one of the kindest, wisest teachers that I've ever had.

I am former patient and regret not reaching out sooner but I have to say that I did not get to work with someone who saw me so clearly yet so warmly that gave me the opportunity to make great leaps in self discovery that I have carried with me since 1988.
