Ryan Bristol Obituary

Ryan Patrick Bristol, 25, of Tonganoxie, passed away Monday August 29th, 2022.

Ryan lived and worked in Tonganoxie and was employed by HMC Performance Coatings. He was instrumental in launching the family-owned and operated business and worked non-stop to turn it into the successful company it is today. Creating HMC alongside his parents was his pride and joy. Employees and customers alike could tell that Ryan put his heart into everything he did.

Ryan was a graduate of McLouth High School and completed specialized training through Washburn Institute of Technology for auto collision repair. While in school, Ryan participated in cross country, track and was an active member in the local 4-H club. In his free time Ryan loved to run, fish, go to concerts, hang out with family and friends, and most of all spend time with his two dogs. He was always up for a game of chess and used the game symbolizing life.

Ryan will forever be remembered for his fierce loyalty to those he loved, his easy-going smile and his willingness to drop everything for a friend in need.

He is survived by his parents, Shawn, and Amie Bristol; sister, Ally (Seth) Sterling; brother, Jason Bristol; brother, Brandon Newell; sister, Ashley Newell; maternal grandparents, Larry and Carol Tripp; paternal grandparents, Clyde and Marilyn Bristol and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

A visitation will be held from 6-8pm on Friday, September 2nd, 2022, at Cornerstone Family Worship, 205 E. Highway 24-40, Tonganoxie, KS 66086. The service will be Saturday, September 3rd, 2022, beginning at 10am which will also be held at Cornerstone Family Worship in Tonganoxie. In Ryan's honor, memorial contributions may be made to Jefferson County Humane Society or to Foster Adopt Connect (fosteradopt.org) which is an organization that works to provide support and advocacy resources for children in foster care.

Shawn, Amy and family. We were heartbroken to hear of Ryan´s passing. Michael so enjoyed getting to know Ryan and running in the Glo Run with him. Ryan´s kindness to Michael meant so much to us all. We know that nothing that anyone can say can ease what you are going through. Please know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers.
