Ronald L. Hamilton

Ron Hamilton, age 65 of Lenexa, Kansas passed away on Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at his home. Memorial Services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday June 14th at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home, visitation will be one hour prior, also at the funeral home. Burial will follow at a later date in the Leavenworth National Cemetery. Memorial Contributions can be made to the American Diabetes Association in care of the funeral home.

Ron was born on June 19, 1948 in Kansas City, Kansas the second of four children born to Bill and Cathy Hamilton. He grew up in Bonner Springs and graduated from Bonner Springs High School in 1966, where he was the Student Council Class President. Ron attended Kansas State in the ROTC program and graduated with honors with a Degree in Business and Psychology and then entered the US Army as a Commissioned Officer in Military Intelligence. After the Military he spent many years in Car Sales and later found a passion for designing and building homes. Ron was preceded in death by his father, sister Connie and ex-wife Joan. Survivors include his mother Catherine Laudan of Olathe, KS., two brothers Bill Hamilton and Mickey Hamilton (Rhoda) all of Shawnee, KS., nephew Toby Hamilton of Overland Park, KS., niece Amy Bell and husband Lucas of Prairie Village, KS. and their son Felix. As well as several cousins and extended family.
