Robert Edward Oakson

Robert Edward Oakson, 86, Lawrence, KS, died Thursday November 5, 2015 at Windsor Assisted Living, Lawrence.

A memorial visitation will be at 2 pm Saturday November 14, 2015 at Quisenberry Funeral Home, Tonganoxie. Private burial will be in Hubbel Hill Cemetery, Tonganoxie.

Robert was born August 4, 1929 in Bethel, KS, the son of Carl and Mildred Rasmussen Oakson. He served in the US Army and had worked as a sales representative for the Lawrence Paper Company. Survivors include his wife, Barbara (Street) Oakson, of the home; two sons, Steve Oakson, Overland Park and Tom Oakson, Lawrence; two daughters, Nora Oakson, Ft. Collins, CO and Elaine Raleigh, Baldwin, WI; one brother, Dale Oakson, Topeka; 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association or to Grace Hospice. Condolences may be left for the family at www.quisenberryfh.com .
