Robert (Bob) Adam Herring

Robert "Bob" Adam Herring, age 49, of Allen, Texas passed away April 20, 2013. He was born December 14, 1963 in Kansas City, Kansas to Ethel Mauree (Sullivan) Herring and Frederick Thomas Herring. On February 15, 2003 he married Terri Sue Thomas in Boise, Idaho. Bob grew up in Kansas where he graduated from Bonner Springs High School in 1982. He graduated from the University of Kansas with a bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering and he received his master's degree in Electrical Engineering from UT-Arlington. Bob presently was employed by AT&T and had previously worked for DSC Alcatel, HP, and Novatel. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Allen, where he was very active. Bob loved woodworking, cars, barbequing, watching movies, and listening to music. A recent passion was coaching his kids in baseball and softball, but more than anything, Bob loved spending time with his wife and kids.

He is survived by his wife, Terri Herring of Allen, Texas; children, Adam and Jordan Herring of the home; brother, Tom Herring and wife, Debbie of Branson, Missouri; sister, Nancy Connaughton and husband, Phil of Garden City, Missouri, several nieces, nephews and a host of other loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frederick (Bud) and Ethel Herring.
