Robert Goans Obituary
Robert T. Goans was born September 18, 1916, in St. Clair County, Missouri, to Arthur and Emma Goans. He died February 6, 2015, of a stroke, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital, Lawrence, Kansas.
He leaves his wife of 69 years, Mildred Goans; sons Michael R. Goans (Ann), Lawrence, and A. Bradley Goans, Tecopa, California; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. He is survived by two sisters, Pearl Hickling of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and Dolly Frank of Lebanon, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, two sisters, and one great grandson.
A memorial gathering to celebrate Bob's life will be Saturday, February 14, from 1:00 to 3:00 at the Hampton Inn, Clinton, Missouri.
A memorial fund has been established at Central United Methodist Church, Lawrence, Kansas.
