I am hoping one day the younger brothers, Billy and Robert, of Richard Seaver who's obituary is here and also a friend of to me in the 50s and early 60s, that they would contact me please.

Yes to my best friend Billy, Robert and Richard, and also the entire family so kind to me and supportive during difficult times, 1960-1962. And my years of searching to find their whereabouts after my move to Wisconsin and then to the state of Washington and then Texas.

I just heard about this through my brother Charles Thomas, and I was best friends with Richard's younger brother Billy in Lawrence Kansas in the late fifties to 1962.

Mary and I met Avi in Detroit at Wayne State when he came to work on his PhD. Actually I met him on the very day he arrived in town and helped him and his father move him into his new apartment. We often had classes and worked together on productions. Saturdays we would all bike to the farmer's market and enjoy great times together. After we finished with our degrees and moved apart, we had a chance to keep in touch and visit despite being states apart. As it often happens we fell out of contact after he moved back to Kansas. In 2009 I reached out and he wrote of how satisfying things were with his love, job, reading, and stamps. He was a joyful friend and is missed.

Avi and I were both in "West Side Story" -KU Theatre in 1964-65. Avi played "Snowboy." I donated the audio recording of that show to The Maar Sound Archives (see Chuck Haddix) in 2014 for safekeeping. I attended the Service; we were close and he is well-remembered.

From elementary school Avi showed a special talent. I remember he had a role in The King and I while he was in elementary school in Lawrence. My condolences to the whole family.

I remember Avi well from our high school days together. A wonderful person and a great talent. My condolences to the entire Seaver family.

Avi directed, and I music directed, Lawrence Free State High School's production of "The Wiz" in 2001. Condolences to the family.

I dated Avi in college and so enjoyed his company. I remember taking him to our sorority's square dance - where his dad was a chaperone - and having a ball. Way to young to go, but he is in the best place by far right now.

Avi had a smile that was contagious. As a fellow educator and theater person here in Lawrence, I had some wonderful times visiting with Avi. He so valued his family. I send you caring thoughts and strength at this difficult time.

Please accept my profound condolences. Avi was someone whose work I always admired. He will be sorely missed by all of us.

Avi was a fine actor who shared his passion and craft with English Alternative Theatre (EAT) in Lawrence and Region 5 of the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival in the 1990s. He lives on in our vivid memories of his many fine performances.

Richard was a very accomplished person. His iron cross on the rings was never equaled at Lawrence High School. I remember most fondly the times we had together when we were young. He and his family showed great strength during his lengthy fight with prostate cancer. I extend my heartfelt condolences to Nancy, Joshua, Gabriel, Virginia, Bill, Rob and Barbara.
