Two words that keep coming to mind: teacher and healer. You made the world a better place. Your impact will not be forgotten, but carried on in the many lives that you touched. We love you.

Richard, it was good to meet you and spend time out at your farm, in 2002. As the only flutist, you made me feel so welcome in the weekly Fiddle jams, and your food was so superb! Thank you for all you shared with me. Your presence will be missed in Lawrence.

We love you, Richard. You had a way of making every person in your life feel as though they were the most special person in the world. You always taught me something, even in the smallest gestures of your daily life. Our community has lost a beautiful and essential friend. We will miss you and remember you always with love and amazing stories of your beauty.
