Richard W. Clements

Richard W. Clements, age 75 of Bonner Springs, Kansas died peacefully at his home on Friday Aug. 30, 2013 while surrounded by his family. Funeral Service was held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4th at the Gate of Heaven Mausoleum in Kansas City, KS. The family received friends at a visitation Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to the American Diabetes Association in care of the funeral home.

Richard was born on Feb. 12, 1938 in Springville, IN. the son of Ward A. and Nellie (Spoonmore) Clements. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Washington, IN., and attended Calvary Bible Church of Bonner Springs, KS. Richard married Marlyn Green on Feb. 17, 1957 in Scotland, IN., and she survives. He is also survived by two children, Deborah (James) Taylor of Columbia, MO., and Douglas (Sonya) Clements of Bonner Springs, KS., six grandsons, Michael (Deanna) Taylor, Matthew Taylor, Mitchell Taylor, Keenan (Madeline) Clements, Seth Clements, and Jared Clements, and one great-grand daughter Logan Clements. Richard was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters Barbara Louden and Ann Harner.
