Randy started doing our taxes in 1986 when his office was still a small room in the basement of the First Med building. He was welcoming and very patient with me, as I brought with me a big mess in a box. Since then, he became a friend, not just the best tax accountant in the world (in my opinion). While serious, knowledgeable, and very professional as far as his work was concerned, he had "a bigger than life" personality: he had a booming voice, a hearty laughter, bear hugs, and a heart full of love. Going "to see Randy" was a yearly event to look forward to. At the end of my appointment, we always peeked into Marilyn's office, and if she was not with a client at the moment, there was more joy, laughter, and hugs. I will miss you, Randy, my good old friend!

Marilyn ---I didn't see an obit-- so sorry --not seeing the paper every day-- but I did kind of beg Roark on 10/1 for any way to contact Randy because we missed him, and you, so much. I was thinking of him so strongly this September, remembering the time share you had south of Branson, how much he gave to Frank and I over decades. We felt safe with Randy. We trusted him deeply. We miss him. And you and I need to have coffee (or a drink) together soon. I only know about tomorrow because someone I have only known recently texted me--- yet neither of us had ever mentioned that he was important to us. Such a small world.

Joe and I were clients of Randy and Marilyn´s for probably 35 years and looked at Randy more as a friend than our accountant. Who would not love Randy? My Joe passed 18 weeks ago and I´m sure they are reconnecting in the presence of their glorious Savior. My prayers are with you Marilyn and your family.
