Phyllis Salisbury Traylor passed on October 19th, 2022. She was born in Lawrence, Kansas to Albert and Waumeta Salisbury, the middle of three children: Eloise Caldwell, the oldest, deceased, and Janice James Salisbury of Denver, Colorado.
Phyllis was a graduate of Lawrence High School. Phyllis is survived by her three children: Mike Traylor, Lyndon Traylor, and Ayanna Traylor of Phoenix, Arizona as well as her nieces and nephews Debra Horn of Lawrence, Nicole Davis of Denver, Colorado, Deon Payne Johnson of Dallas, Texas, Nolan Johnson of Dallas, Texas; also a number of cousins from Chicago, California, Alabama, and
Lawrence. She was preceded in death by Keith Johnson.
Phyllis lived a full life as wife and mother. Additionally, she was a member of Tanner Chapel AME Church in Phoenix, Arizona, where she served on the usher board until her illness with Alzheimer's. Donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
