Patricia Snow Obituary

A Visitation for Patricia F. Snow, 85, Eudora will be held from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. on June 4, 2022 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary – Eudora Chapel in Eudora, KS. Private Family Burial will be in Eudora Cemetery. She died May 28, 2022 at her home in Eudora.

Patricia was born on September 19, 1936 in Kansas City, MO the daughter of Homer and Bessie Fern (Parker) Bowers.

Patricia married Kenneth Ray Snow in 1953 in Topeka, KS. He preceded her in death on October 15, 2004.

She worked at many jobs while raising her children including Dairy Treat, and as owner and operator of the Key Café. She later opened Baskets of Snow, where she made baskets, and taught the art of basket making. She learned to make baskets from her sister, Linda and enjoyed passing the art to many students. She also worked for the Douglas County Courthouse Treasurers office and as a dental assistant for Dr. Smith in Eudora. She was active for years as a vendor at the Lawrence Farmers Market where she enjoyed making many new friends.

Pat enjoyed bird watching and traveling. Her travels included Australia, New Zealand, Peru, Mexico and Central America. She enjoyed many years of social activity with friends and family while living south of Lawrence in Quantrill Acres. Some of those highlights were 4th of July celebrations, pool parties and pie suppers.

She is survived by her daughter, LaDonna (Mark) Russell of Eudora, KS; two sons, Michael (Willy) Snow and Brian (Leahann) Snow; two sisters, Linda Bigelow, Toledo, Ohio, Susan Bonjour, Shawnee, KS; seven grandchildren, Erik Russell, Brandon Russell, Stacy Fisher, James Snow, Kevin Snow, Kyle Snow and Chris Snow; five great-grandchildren, Elkin Fisher, Theodore Snow, Luke Snow, Joah Snow and Aiden Snow.

The family suggest memorials in her name to VNA Hospice and may be sent in care of the Warren-McElwain Mortuary 120 W. 13th St. Lawrence, KS 66044.
