Dearest Tara,Kassie, and Allan(who probably doesn´t remember his "old" neighbors),We(Alita,Kelly & Kevin) are so sorry to hear of your Mom´s passing.And, we apologize for not being able to attend Her memorial. We are still at the old house/"landline"Love,and respect to All.Your Mom had a great presence in making the World a better place, and I had forgotten that she worked so closely with my Aunt Lucy

Pat and her dear friend Betty influenced my career decision and were always a source of great support during the 33 years that I taught special education. Early in my career I when I was a broke young teacher she was willing to share with me her Washington DC hotel room. Betty, her daughter Sissy, Pat and I, spent many hours laughing, enjoying great food, and many cocktails. Her contributions to education made a difference for so many students with special needs and helped to change how services to those students were delivered. I know how proud she was of each of her children and am sorry for your loss. She really was one of a kind
