Patricia English Obituary

February 10, 1946 - June 8, 2024

Patricia "Pat" English, 78, passed away Saturday, June 8, 2024, in Olathe, Kansas. Pat was born February 10, 1946, in Emporia, KS to Gene and Wanda Paxton. Pat was a long-time resident of Lawrence, Kansas. She worked at KU for 27 years; most of those in the Radio/TV/Film department of the School of Journalism. She moved to Nashville, TN for just over a decade, before returning to Lawrence. In her free time, Pat loved fostering kittens for the Lawrence Humane Society, making jewelry, and watching KU basketball. She is preceded in death by her parents Gene and Wanda. She is survived by her daughter Megan English (Mark Partin) of Olathe, sister Linda Williams of Vassar, and former spouse John, of Lawrence. An informal reception will be held Thursday, August 8th from 7pm to 9pm at Maceli's, 1031 New Hampshire St, Lawrence, KS. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Pat's name to the Lawrence Humane Society, 1805 E 19th St, Lawrence, KS, 66046.

I am so sorry to hear of Pat´s death... she was an amazing woman... her love of the kitties was so heart warming! I will treasure the broach that she made for me!
