She died Thursday, Apr. 18, 2013, at Baldwin Healthcare & Rehab. She was born Apr. 14, 1929, in Lawrence, the daughter of Henry and Edna Duncan Welsh. She lived here before moving to Long Beach, CA., and then moved back to Eudora in 1983.
Mrs. Kemberling worked as a licensed vocational nurse for the Physicians & Surgeons Hospital in Compton, CA. for 25 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Loyd E. Kemberling, whom she married on March 15, 1944, and a brother, Clifford Welsh.
She is survived by her son Jerry and wife Sonnie, Lawrence, two granddaughters, Charmaine Kemberling, Lawrence, and Shawn Kelley and husband Jamie, Pomona, KS.; and three step grandchildren, Steven Corbett, Tecumseh. Ks., Amy Corbett, Overland Park KS., and Jeff Corbett, Missoula, MT.; two great grandsons, Jax and Croix Kelley; and two step great granddaughters, Emma Wolf and Avery Pugh
