Nancy Jordan Obituary

Nancy Vivian Jordan, 78, previously of Colorado Springs, CO, passed on June 3, 2025 in Lawrence, KS, where she resided for the last two years. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Dan Boswell and Vivian Hill Jordan. The surviving members are sister Dana J Tygret and husband James W (Bill), Dana's sons: Samuel W Tygret and wife Brandy M, their niece Reagynn D Gilden; Daniel J Tygret and wife Jennifer A, their children Abigail and Noah; Nancy's sister Sherry H. Gavito and husband Daniel D, daughter Georgia G Sizemore and husband Michael B, and their son Truman.

Nancy was born on December 16, 1946 in Atlanta, Georgia. A year later, the family moved to Houston, TX. She graduated from Lamar High School in 1965 and attended Stephen F. Austin State University. She worked in the medical field as an executive assistant to the Chief of Head and Neck Surgery of M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. She moved to Colorado in 1981 and became the executive assistant to the State Court Administrator of Colorado until she retired.

Nancy loved reading, the Rocky Mountains, and taking care of family. She is sorely missed by all whose lives were touched by her kindness, generosity, and love.

The scattering of her ashes will take place in Molena, Georgia where she and her two sisters spent their summers.

In lieu of flowers, or planting a tree, donations may be made to her favorite charity, Colorado Springs Rescue Mission and mailed to Warren McElwain Mortuary, 120 W 13th ST, Lawrence, KS 66044 in memory of Nancy.
