Mitsuko Fletcher

Private services are planned for Mitsuko Fletcher, 83, Lawrence, KS. Burial will be at the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio, TX. She died on Monday, July 30, 2012 at Pioneer Ridge Retirement Community in Lawrence.

Mitsuko was born on March 12, 1929 in Hiroshima, Japan.

She was a Hiroshima survivor and came to the US in 1952. She lived in Killeen, TX and moved to Leavenworth, KS in 2007. She has lived at Pioneer Ridge Nursing home since 2010.

She worked as a self employed seamstress and housewife. She was active in church activities.

She was married to Benjamin H. Fletcher. He preceded her in death.

Survivors include son-in-law, LTC (Ret) David M. Bell, Leavenworth, KS; grandson, David M. Bell, Jr.; daughter-in-law, Ann Bell; and great grandson, David John Bell. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Charlotte A. Bell.

The family suggests memorials in her name to the Hospice of Topeka, KS and may be sent in care of the mortuary.

Mitzy was very much a lady. She was kind and loving to my father and all of the ROLLINS family in Killeen. It was my pleasure to know her.
