Mom was a great person. She always wanted to make the people she was with happy. She made everyone feel like they were the most important person in the world. She loved to travel and go places to see new things. Watching her singing with the Band was a highlight for me as it gave her great satisfaction. As they say, Moms home cooking was the best, fried chicken, potatoes and gravy was my favorite. Maybe not the most healthy, but she lived to be 95. When I would visit, even after she was 90, she would ask, " What do you want me to cook for you? ". I did not argue and say I want to take you out for dinner, just answered, "Fried Chicken". Mom did allow us to take her out occasionally, but without fail wanted to pay. Family or friends were visiting every weekend or Mom and Dad would visit their places. Many trips to Belton for Barbeque.
Love you Mom and miss you, thanks for everything.

Gramma was my person. The one that has always been in my corner from the beginning. I am where I am because of her fierce love and devotion. She is the one I could talk to about anything, knowing she would never judge me. She was a kind and loving soul who enjoyed her family and friends to the fullest. Her positive outlook on life was truly inspiring. She always complimented me on how devoted I am to my kids and grandkids and I would remind her that she set the perfect example of how to be a super-granny. I love her more than words can express and miss her already.

There is not enough time to say how much she meant to me. I just hope she knew, and I'm pretty sure she did. She meant so much to us all. We spent a lot of time at her house when we were younger, and although I can't remember half of what I did last year, I remember those times, and that house. She always made the best cherry pie in the world, and I'm almost positive it was just for me because every time we visited, it was there. As I grew older I always kidded her about where my pie was. She would just laugh and promise one the next get together. I think she did come through once a few years ago! Love her so much. The world TRULY lost a wonderful person.
