Micheal Clark Gibler, Lawrence, passed away 10/05/13 at LMH. Born 02/04/65 in Lawrence, son of Shirley & the late Kendrick Gibler. He was a lifelong Lawrence resident & painter for 25 years. Survivors: Kathy Buckley, Steven Gibler, Bo Campbell, Billy Micheal Spears-Gibler, Lisa Tenpenny, Shirley Gibler. Celebration of life will be later.

I've been at a loss for words since hearing this news last week. I'm sad that Mike is gone, and sadder still that we lost touch so many years ago. He was a great friend back in the day as I'm sure he was with those he knew later in life. The thing I remember most about Mike is that he was so easy-going. I don't recall ever seeing him lose his cool. He was just a great guy to hang out with and a really good friend. God's peace to Mike and his family. You're all in my thoughts and prayers...
