Michael McClure Obituary
Graveside services at Memorial Park Cemetery will be held for Michael "Mickey" McClure on Monday, March 16, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. He died at his home in Topeka on March 6, 2015.
Mickey was born on December 14, 1953 in Lawrence, KS, the third child of Dr. Rensselaer and Mary Anne McClure.
Mickey attended Sunset Hill Elementary School, West Junior High School, and graduated from Lawrence High School in 1972. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era. He attended Kansas University graduating with a BA in Political Science.
He worked for the U.S. Postal Service for several years in Lawrence and later in Albuquerque, NM and Santa Fe, NM.
Mickey pursued many interests including inventions, coin collecting, nature study and spiritual matters.
He will be greatly missed by his survivors who loved him deeply; his mother, Mary Anne McClure, Lawrence; sisters, Laura Nash and Cynthia McClure, both of Lawrence; and brothers, David McClure, Henderson, NV and Scott McClure of Albuquerque, NM; and several nieces and nephews.

Mickey was a good pal of mine at West Junior High and LHS. We shared many adventures and lots of laughs. So sorry to see him gone so soon. My sympathies to all who loved him.
