We just want to express our deepest sympathies for you all. These past few years have been an emotional journey for us all. We will never forget Mike and will always trust that he is with us every step. He was truly an amazing person, friend and boss. He has taught us so much about life, hardwork and dedication. We are all blessed to have known him in this life. We wish you all well and will be talking soon. It was a great service and reception. We are happy we were a part of it all.

to mike's family, especially; you deb and peter... i was saddened to hear the news of mike's passing. i did not know he was ill. the cancer walk is painful and yet poignant. (val is in her 44th month of all that "stuff") it does call upon the mind and soul to realize the fragility of life, AND to get us to stop, smell roses, reach out, love better, live better, pass on the things that really don't matter much, and focus on the things that do. all my recollections of mike are of a fun guy in high school, and a fine man in life. while he will be dearly missed, please know that he is only a thin veil from you, sees you, is around you, and will await to renew with you. eternity isn't a footrace, it's a marathon. mike just took another lap is all. out of view, not off the track. val and i send along our love and prayers. god bless you as you mourn and miss mike, peace does come, it will come. keep him around with lots of photos and remember him often through stories and remembrances. til you meet again. all our love, dan and val dyer

Deb, Melissa and Pete,
I only hope you can go on now and live life to its fullest with the many memories of not only Mike but also Aunt Juliann. Having lost my parents at a fairly early age (25) and brother 9 years ago I hang onto the memories of all of them. I don’t go a day without thinking of them at least once if not more triggered by something that happened that day, which brought a fond memory of them. Deb – I know Mike was a very special brother and you were a special sister to him. Having only brothers I know how important they are in my life and I cherished each moment I get to spend with them as I’m sure you did. There are always lessons learned from life and death and hopefully it will make us treasure every moment we have with our family and friends. Melissa – what a strong wife and friend you have been to Mike. I totally admire you for being by his side every step of the way – it was a long hard journey. Because you are so strong I’m sure you will be able to go on as I’m sure Mike would not want it any other way. Pete – You were a great support to Deb and Melissa; it isn’t easy watching your wife have to endure what Deb has had to in these last couple of months. I love you all – Peace be with you.

The Beggs Family,
I truly know what you are going through. Having my dad (Otto Ottow) pass away was truly the most difficult thing. My dad and Mike were friends, and Im sure they are together again. My family is praying for yours.

Mike was an amazing person who I will miss so very much. He had such a playfulness about him and his humor was neverending even throughout his illness. Having grown up with Mike as his cousin I have wonderful memories of him. Mike is a person much to be admired for his continued optimism and fight to survive. The same is true of Melissa and Deb. You set an example for all of us and I have much love and admiration for you.

Dear Melissa and family,
There really is no words that I can say that can take this pain away. Just know that you are in my heart. If I can do anything anytime please let me know.
