We all loved Mel. He was a gentle man, and very talented. When Larry was born, Dorothy and Mel asked Mearlene and I to come and stay a week and help to take care of Donnie. Mel brought us metal tooling to keep us occupied.
Mel and Dorothy came to tell us that our Dad, Mearl Doty, had passed away.
A few years ago, my husband and I were happy to visit him when he was in Mesa. I learned a lot about him that I had never known.
We are so sorry for your loss. He will be greatly missed.
