I was so sorry to hear of Katie's passing. I was Katie's hair stylist when she lived in Lawrence and we had many great conversations over the years. She spoke often, and lovingly, of her daughters and family. She will be terribly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

I was devastated to learn of Katie's passing. She hired me at LMH and we worked together for about 15 years. I considered her a good friend, loved her sense of humor, loved her "style," and loved working with her. I will miss knowing she is just a phone call away. I will remember her always.

I was so saddened to see Katie's obituary. She seems to have gone all too soon. But she loved Lashie so and missed him so much. Katie was a wonderful neighbor and friend to me when my husband fell ill and entered home hospice. And after he died she was so supportive and compassionate. She was wonderful with children and had such an understanding of people and human nature. She was an angel. I will never forget her.

Leo and I were so saddened to see that our good friend and former neighbor had died. Katie and Carroll were such wonderful neighbors to us and our girls and we will miss her as we still miss Carroll. Our sympathy to Katie's daughters and the remainder of the family. We will remember her always.

Katie was a joy and delight to work with at LMH. I loved her calmness, caring manner and smile. She was such a sweet lady. I'm amazed that she retired in 2000; seems like yesterday. Blessings and peace to her family and friends who will miss her dearly.
