MARY WAS A TREASURE. As my teacher, she made me feel special, as she just seemed to know my struggles. Later in life we had many thoughtful conversations and she always had the best smiles while she listened. Mary truly was one in a million, and so much fun to be around. I am grateful for our times together.

I had the good fortune to work with Mary at LHS. Others attest that she was a most wonderful teacher, but she was also just a wonderful person and co-worker. We will remember her quick wit, care and concern for others and her ready smile. Congratulations, Mary, for a life well lived.

I was so sorry to hear of Miss Mary´s passing .... she was my teacher in the early 60s at LHS. She was an amazing woman and all of my classmates respected and looked up to her. I am a better woman because of her. What a wonderful legacy she left her family... Rest in peace Miss Mary.

One of my all-time best and favorite teachers who insisted I take the state civil service test in 1970 which led to me being a medical transcriptionist for 47 years. Heaven has gained a true angel. A lovely lady in every way.

Miss Gauthier was a great inspiration to many. I was one. She insisted on doing only your best--nothing less! She is a great loss to the field of business education. Rest easy my friend.

I never had Mrs. Gauthier for class, but I know her students adored her. I got to know her on Facebook. I respected her too. A wonderful person.

Countless former students got their first job due to Mary's professionalism and instruction. She was the consummate educational professional, with never a negative word for anyone,

A true loss to all. A lady and teacher that maintained contact with all her former students for nearly all her 98 years. My sister-in-law and my wife were inspired by her in their development during their LHS experience and beyond.
