Martha Tongier Obituary
She was born January 26, 1948, in Edna, Kansas, the daughter of Floyd Olin and Geneva Beatrice (Phipps) Roberts. She was a 1966 graduate of Field Kindley High School in Coffeyville, Kansas. She received her bachelor's and master's degrees in Psychology from the University of Kansas. Jane resided in Coffeyville, Kansas until moving to Lawrence to attend college, residing there until moving to Topeka in 2020.
Jane married Randy Wayne Tongier on May 31, 1969 in Coffeyville, Kansas. He survives in Topeka. Other survivors include her son, Brian C. Tongier; her daughter, Sarah E. Tongier; both of Topeka; and her brothers, D.L. (Judy) Roberts of Coffeyville, KS and Wayne Roberts of Grand Junction, CO.
