Martha Slaughter Obituary

Mass of Christian Burial for Martha A. Slaughter, 90, Eudora will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Eudora. Burial will follow at Holy Family Catholic Cemetery. She passed away Friday, December 21, 2018 at Medicalodges Eudora.

Martha was born August 26, 1928 in Brook, Indiana the daughter of Bert and Caroline (Putthoff) Clark.

Martha was a homemaker and retired from Hallmark Cards.

She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, she loved to cook and bake, she volunteered at the Eudora High School as a greeter, was a Red Hat Society member for a few years and was active in Medicalodges arts and crafts and activities.

She married Charles Lee Slaughter on February 19, 1955 in Kansas City, MO. He preceded her in death.

Martha is survived by her two sons, Charles D. Slaughter (Diane), Cascade, CO, Robert Slaughter (Kathy), Lawrence; daughter, Caroline Long (Edward), Linwood, KS; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

A Rosary will be said at 6:00 pm, on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 with visitation to follow until 8:00 pm at Warren-McElwain Mortuary-Eudora Chapel.

Memorials may be made in her name to the Holy Family Catholic Church and may be sent in care of the Warren-McElwain Mortuary.

I was so sorry to hear about Martha. She has always been such a sweet lady. She will be missed. You have my condolences and prayers.
