I met Marian through the League of Women Voters. I fondly remember the years we spent together on the state board of that organization and as lobbyists. I also enjoyed our luncheon gatherings with friends in Lawrence. I regret that I lost touch with her over the last several years. Marian was a dedicated lobbyist, gracious woman and friend. I am sorry that I will be out of town when the memorial service is being held. Please extend my condolences to her children and their spouses and her grandchildren. She will be missed.

I knew Marian from my work with her husband Chuck in the Sociology Dept at KU. I was his secretary for many years and got to know the family well. It was been many years since I have seen the children but I am sure some will remember me also. My condolences to all.
