Marian passed on to heavenly joy on May 12, 2023 at the age of 95. Marian Davis was born in Kansas City, Missouri on October 23, 1927 to Flora and Dean Egli. At about the age of 5, her mother married Verbal Hartley and when her step-father inquired what she wanted him to call her, she chose to be called "Babe", which is what most of her relatives called her. Marian lived in Independence, Missouri during her childhood years. On December 9, 1944, she married Roderick Elmer Davis (Rod). In 1945, she joined her husband in Brazil while he finished his military service at an Army Air Corps base.

After her husband's military service they moved back to Independence while he completed technical education in electronics. Their daughter, Diana (now Diana Brown) was born in 1947. After his graduation, the family moved to Wisconsin where Rod worked at Radio stations in Baraboo and Poynette Wisconsin. Their son, David, was born in 1948. In 1951, the family moved to Lawrence, Kansas where their son, Don, was born in 1952 and their daughter Debbie was born in 1956. Rod's 40 plus year career was devoted to the Kansas University in Radio and Television engineering. Marian devoted wonderful mother and homemaker. She was beautiful and gracious to everyone. She volunteered for many years in the Parent Teachers Association (PTA) and served as President for a few years, volunteered during elections for the Douglas County Election Board and was a volunteer at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. She was active in the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (now known as the Community of Christ church). After her children left home she worked for a period for Weaver's Department Store. Her husband of 57 years died in 2002. In 2007, Marian moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma to be near her son and his family.

Marian is survived by her daughter Diana and husband Chris, of Pine River, Minnesota, and their children Shawn, Lori (Zetah), John and Chad, her son David and wife Rhona of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and their children Josh, Todd and Robin (Splawn), and her son Don and wife Kim of Lake Winnebago, Missouri. Her Daughter Debbie predeceased her. She is survived by 7 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

Her ashes and those of her husband will be entered at Lake Ada near Pine River, Minnesota where she and her husband often enjoyed vacationing for many years.
