I will never forget the first time I met Margret. 40 years ago Margret and her mother appeared at my door to inform me that I had failed to vote. They were the first to welcome me to the country. Margret told me that women had an important role in how things are decided and if I needed a ride to the poles she would come by and get me. As the years roled on Margret and Ross became family friends. They welcomed the birth of our children and called every year to make sure the kids would stop by on Halloween. Even when our children were too old, Margret would call and tell them to drop by because she had goodies for them. When they went caroling, the first stop was to Margret and Ross. She always made visits to our Kanwaka 4-H club dinners and made our children feel special with their congratulations on their projects at the fair. Being from Chicago, our children didn't have much family here. Ross and Margret often filled the need. They will both be missed. We are so grateful they were in our lives and especially grateful that Margret stopped by to remind me to vote. Haven't missed an election in 40 years...She may have changed history.. Jeanne Bronoski

Dear Family, your mother was the Room Improvement Project leader for the 4-H club at Kanawaka when my children were in
4-H in the 70's. She was an inspiration to all that were fortunate enough to know her.

What a great lady she was! Our prayers are with her family. I don't often make it to Literary Club meetings, but I know they won't be the same without Margaret's dry wit and feisty spirit. Douglas County's loss is heaven's gain.
