I have lots of wonderful memories of Margaret as my best friend in elementary school through high school. We had tons of adventures together, both happy and some not so happy, as we grew up together, living a half-block apart in Lawrence, experiencing childhood wonders, travails, and just plain coping with the challenges of life as youngsters. We went our separate ways after high school as we both moved away pursuing different dreams, but she has always been in my heart and is a precious golden thread in the fabric of my life. I enjoyed reading about her accomplishments and passions as an adult, understanding hers was a life well-lived, surrounded by the love of her family. May you rest in peace, dear friend.

Margaret was an absolute sweetheart!
She's my longtime friend's Mama that I met in 1979 when I was 14 when we moved to the neighborhood.
Nobody could meet her and walk away NOT loving her!
