Madelyn and I would share flowers. She bring me an amarillis at Christmas and I would bring her geraniums in the spring.sweet memory this time of year. Carolyn

Sheldon and family, I was really saddened to hear of Madelyn's passing. I knew her and your dad from our years here in Lawrence. She was my allergy shot nurse for many years and I would see her occasionally around town. We also go back to your early days when our son, Austin, was taking Suzuki violin lessons at the same period of time.
It must have been especially difficult to have both parents pass within such a short time. Know that we are thinking of you and are honoring their contributions to Lawrence life.

My deepest condolences for your loss. Madelyn was a wonderful lady, deeply caring and invested in her community and friendships. Her interest in children and her kindness as our neighbor is unmatched. We miss her greatly.

Madelyn was such a great friend and neighbor. We became neighbors about fifty-two years ago. She took care of daughter, Carrie, when daughter, Gena was born and when I was ill. We shared recipes, school events and countless chats at the kitchen table. When we moved away from the neighborhood and we both started careers, we saw each occasionally, but then gradually lost touch. When I bake pies using the cook book she gave me, and make her lasagna recipe I always think of my dear neighbor.

Madelyn was an amazing NBAS trainer and her confidence in handling newborn babies was evident. She trained me on the NBAS while both of us were part of the Infant Lab. I´m grateful for her guidance and calm demeanor. Peace to her family.
